New pediatric hospital providing expert care just for kids
St. Louis Children's at CoxHealth is the only independently licensed, full-service pediatric hospital in Southwest Missouri with nationally recognized clinical care from WashU Medicine physicians.
From doctors to bedside staff, our team is specially trained to care for children and support their families. The care team brings together nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and WashU Medicine physicians across a range of pediatric specialties to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
Services include:
- A Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) providing comprehensive, specialized support for newborns
- Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for children with complex or serious conditions
- Pediatric inpatient care designed especially for children and teens to make their stay as comfortable as possible
Children's specialty care center opening in 2027
St. Louis Children’s at CoxHealth Specialty Care Center will be the largest, pediatric-focused outpatient facility in Springfield, Missouri, focused exclusively on providing unparalleled advanced care for young patients. The new center ensures families from Southwest Missouri no longer need to travel far to access expert care for their children.
Dedicated, specialized space designed for kids
Three stories and 133,000 square feet of space focused on child and adolescent health care. The specialty care center will bring together pediatric and primary specialty care, urgent care, imaging, physical and occupational therapy, laboratory services, pharmacy, infusion, and outpatient surgery for children who don't need an overnight stay.
Additional advanced services
WashU Medicine physicians will provide services in cardiology, hematology oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, and urology.
