Patients & Visitors

Recognize Staff

BJC HealthCare employees have pledged to treat you with dignity, keep you safe, and partner with you on your health care journey. We are committed to providing exceptional care to every patient. You and your family are at the heart of all we do because we believe you deserve to live your healthiest life.

We also believe in celebrating the individuals who have gone above and beyond for a patient or their loved one. If you would like to recognize an individual who treated you, a family member, or a friend, please nominate them through one of our recognition programs.

Staff

Connect recognition program

The Connect Award is a BJC recognition program that empowers patients to acknowledge non-nursing staff members who go above and beyond.

The one who held your hand during a daunting procedure and listened to your concerns. The housekeeper who kept your space clean and safe. The physical therapist who helped you regain your strength and cheered you on as you healed. The food service staff member who fed you. The surgeon who assured you that your quality of life would improve after an operation—and then delivered on that promise.

Just as we are committed to providing you with extraordinary care, we also strive to acknowledge employees who exceed expectations. We invite you to share your experience and recognize any BJC HealthCare team member who has provided exceptional service and care through our Connect Recognition Program.

Please complete this form and share how one of our team members made a difference in your health journey.

About the DAISY Award

The DAISY award is an international award program created by The DAISY Foundation that rewards nursing excellence. The DAISY Foundation was established in 2000 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died of complications of an autoimmune disease at the age of 33. DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. During Pat’s eight-week hospitalization, his family was awestruck by the care and compassion his nurses provided, not only to Pat but to everyone in his family. One of the goals they set in creating a foundation in Pat’s memory was to recognize extraordinary nurses everywhere who make an enormous difference in the lives of so many people through the work they do every day.
