Imaging services & specialties at BJC

BJC HealthCare uses a broad array of the latest imaging technology to provide the clarity you need, including 3D imaging and advanced visualization. This technique combines different scans for life-like views of soft tissue and organ systems. Special software makes scans accessible to radiologists in as little as a few seconds.

Interventional radiologists use real-time imaging to diagnose and treat issues affecting the blood vessels and organs throughout your body. Additional specialties include breast, brain, cardiovascular, pediatric radiology, and musculoskeletal.

Bone density scan
Also known as DEXA scan, this procedure provides insight for elderly adults to see where they might be most vulnerable to bone fractures.

CT scan
These detailed views of bones, organs, vessels, and soft tissue give patients and physicians answers to lingering health questions.

Lung cancer screening
Our highly skilled team uses low-dose CT scans to observe lung nodules and detect any potential pulmonary issues.

Image Sharing

BJC HealthCare offers patients and providers a secure way to upload medical images to a patient’s health record. The easy uploader copies and transfers medical images from a storage device, such as a CD, USB flash drive, or DVD, using the patient’s computer.

  • Immediate access: Providers can immediately access a patient’s images for more efficient and informed medical consultations

How to upload medical images using the easy uploader 

  • Follow the image-sharing instructions on the web site for a convenient way to upload your images with BJC HealthCare.
    • Enter an email address or phone number to receive an authentication code.
    • Enter the authentication code received via email or text message, check the boxes for Terms and Conditions and HIPAA agreement, and then click Confirm.
    • Click Choose Folder, then navigate to where the images are located on your computer, either CD/DVD drive, USB drive, or other storage location.
    • Click Upload. A list of all studies in that location will be displayed. Check the box next to each study you wish to upload and then click Upload.
    • A status bar will be displayed to indicate progress of the upload.

    • Once the Transfer Complete message is displayed, you may close your browser.

       

  • Contact your provider by phone or by the Message function in MyChart to let them know you have uploaded your images to PowerShare.

Note: Images uploaded can be viewed across the BJC enterprise by all appropriate health care providers.
